Privacy notice

Version 1 · published 10-10-2026 12:00 IST

Krishium is made and published by Krishium Labs (krishiumlabs.in). In this notice, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Krishium Labs, who decide how your personal data is used — the Data Fiduciary under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. This notice explains what personal data the app uses, why, how long it is kept, who else handles it, and your rights. We never sell your personal data.

Your details

Your language, district, market yards and crops, and — if you choose to give them — your name and mobile number are kept only on this phone, with which versions of this notice and the terms you accepted and when, and your choice on usage statistics. None of it is sent to us or kept on any server. Your name and number are optional: the app works fully without them. You can change them in Settings → My details, or erase everything with Settings → Delete my data (see “Your rights”).

Stays on your phone

The prices the app has downloaded, your display settings, the price alerts you set, and — only if you allow location — your farm’s position, rounded to about a kilometre and used only to put your state and district first during setup, and to find your nearest yards and how far they are. None of this is sent to us. The phone checks your price alerts itself, even when the app is closed, against the prices it has downloaded. Weather is fetched by our server for the centre of each district, never for your farm.

Feedback and advertising enquiries

“Send feedback” and the advertising enquiry write an email in your phone’s own email app, which you then send yourself; you see all of it before sending. Feedback holds what you wrote, the topic you picked, and your language, district, app version and phone type, so we can act on it. An advertising enquiry holds the business, name, mobile number, town and message you enter, so we can call you back. The email reaches our inbox at Google (Gmail) from your email address, and we reply to that address. Please do not write Aadhaar, bank or card details, or anyone else’s personal details. Feedback is for the app itself: questions and complaints about your personal data go by email to krishiumlabs@gmail.com.

Usage statistics and crash reports — only if you agree

These are the one thing we ask your consent for, because the app works without them. At setup the box is unticked, and you can turn them on or off at any time in Settings → Privacy. When on, Google Firebase receives which screens you open and what you tap; your language and district; how many yards and crops you follow, and the crop you chose first; the day you installed the app and how many days you have used it; your app settings — the notification switches, price unit, text size, digits, and whether you gave your farm’s location (never the location itself); your phone model, Android or iOS version, and the app’s version and update; and, if the app stops suddenly, technical details of the crash, with the same settings and the screen you were on. What you do during setup, before you answer, stays on this phone: it is sent if you tick the box, and deleted if you do not. They never include your name or number. Turning them off stops them at once. This phone’s statistics ID is kept, so if you turn them on again, what is sent joins what was sent before — still without your name or number. Deleting your data resets it, so nothing sent before can be joined to this phone or to you. What was already sent is deleted by Google on the schedule under “How long it is kept”.

Notifications

Once setup is finished, if you allow notifications, this phone signs up with Google Firebase Cloud Messaging for the daily price reminders and your district’s weather updates and severe-weather warnings. To deliver them, Google holds this phone’s notification address and a Firebase installation ID. Our server never sees either, and we keep no list of who receives notifications. The price reminders and weather updates can be turned off in Settings, and any of them in the phone’s notification settings; deleting your data also deletes this phone’s notification address at Google.

Ads

Ads are shown by Google AdMob and are never personalised: they are not chosen from your activity in this app or others. To show and count ads and to prevent fraud, Google receives your phone’s advertising ID, IP address and device details directly from the ad service in the app, and uses them as an independent party under its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy), not on our instructions. You can reset or delete the advertising ID in your phone’s settings.

Our site and the news

The app downloads prices, weather and the other files that are the same for everyone from our site, delivered by Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.). Like any internet service, Cloudflare records the IP address, time and app details of each request, to keep the site running and secure and to detect misuse. These records hold no name or number, and the app sends nothing about you with these requests.

News comes from our site too: we read farm headlines from Google News and the news sites ourselves, the same for everyone, and the app downloads them with the other files. A story’s photo is shown from the news site’s own servers, which, like any site you visit, receive the phone’s IP address and request details. A page you open from the app — a news story, a weather map, a scheme’s official page — belongs to that site, under its own privacy policy.

How long it is kept

  • Your details and choices, the prices and settings, and the record of what you accepted: on this phone, until you delete them with Delete my data, uninstall the app or clear its data.
  • Feedback and advertising enquiry emails: one year from when each reached us, then deleted from our inbox — sooner if you ask (see “Your rights”).
  • Records of requests to our site: as long as Cloudflare keeps them to run and secure the service. They hold no name or number.
  • Usage statistics: 14 months at most. Crash reports: 90 days.
  • When you delete your data, nothing is kept on this phone, and there is no copy of it on any server to erase.

Who handles it

Krishium Labs reads the feedback and enquiry emails you send; other users never can. We never sell your personal data, and we never give it to anyone for their own use or marketing. It is handled for us, only on our instructions, by:

  • Google (Google LLC) — Firebase crash reports and usage statistics, notification delivery, and the inbox (Gmail) your emails reach;
  • Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.) — our site, from which the app downloads prices, weather, the news and other files.

Separately, Google AdMob receives the advertising details described under “Ads”, and news sites the request details described under “Our site and the news”, as independent parties. These services may store data outside India. Data is encrypted while it travels and while it is stored. We would give personal data to a government authority only where Indian law requires it.

If there is a data breach

If your personal data is ever exposed in a security breach, we will tell you without delay in the app, and report it to the Data Protection Board of India, as the law requires.

Your rights

  • Correct or complete your details: Settings → My details.
  • Turn usage statistics and crash reports on or off: Settings → Privacy.
  • Erase: remove your name and number in My details, or erase everything in Settings → Delete my data. It resets the app on this phone and stops its notifications at once; we hold no copy on any server, so nothing else is kept. To have a feedback or enquiry email you sent erased sooner, email krishiumlabs@gmail.com from the same address.
  • Questions, complaints or any other request about your data: email krishiumlabs@gmail.com. We will reply as soon as we can, and always within 90 days. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

Krishium is for people 18 or older. You confirm your age when you set up the app.

Changes to this notice

When what we collect, why, who handles it or your rights change, we publish a new version of this notice — its number and the date and time it was published are shown above — and the app tells you what changed and asks you to read and accept it before you carry on. A correction that changes none of these keeps the same version. The app keeps a record on this phone of which version you accepted and when. The same notice is published at app.krishiumlabs.in/privacy.html.

Language

This notice is written in English and Gujarati. If the two ever differ, the English version applies.
